This project involved creating a title sequence for a book that hadn’t yet been adapted into a film. I chose Come as You Are, a biography of the band Nirvana, and aimed to capture both the raw energy of the grunge era and the unmistakable aesthetic of the 1990s. By combining sentimental imagery that reflected the band’s close friendship with dynamic footage of live performances, the sequence evokes the deeply personal and emotional tone conveyed throughout the book.
